Overview
Sales Enablement · Ex-AWS · 11 years in tech
I build the systems that make sellers great.
Revenue and sales enablement leader. Most recently at AWS, where I served as single-threaded owner of the operations workstream behind the global accreditation program that credentialed the 35,000-person worldwide field sales organization, and played a lead role in designing the program itself.

What I'm doing now
Between roles, turning the same systems thinking on a new toolchain.
I spent five years building enablement programs at AWS around a simple belief: the fastest way to move a seller from onboarded to productive is to build the scaffolding as a system, not as a pile of courses. That meant competency models, multi-tier assessment architecture, and programs that measured readiness, not attendance.
Since being laid off in January, I've been applying that same frame to the tools reshaping enablement: Claude Code, the Claude API, and MCP. This site is the first artifact of that, built from scratch in Claude Code, one file, versioned on GitHub. Next up: a Claude-API-powered pitch evaluator that does first-pass scoring on seller roleplays, freeing manager review for the judgment-intensive 20% that actually matters.

Case Study, AWS Industry Accreditation
The program, the mechanics, the number.
HR title: Senior Technical Writer. Actual remit: single-threaded owner of the operations workstream, and lead designer on the assessment architecture, for the program that credentialed a 35,000-person field sales organization.
, Role, in one sentence
Context
In 2021, AWS was shifting the field sales organization from territory alignment to an industry vertical sales model, Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Public Sector, among others. Sellers who had spent years selling "EC2 to anyone" now had to sell "AWS to a hospital CIO." The organization had the products. It did not yet have the credentialed field force.
Program
A competency-based accreditation program, L100 (foundational) through L400 (expert), tied to the AWS Way of Selling (AWOS) methodology and MEDDPICC qualification framework. Assessments were scenario-based, not multiple-choice. Completion was gated on demonstrated competency, not course attendance.
My role
Single-threaded owner of the operations workstream: assessment delivery, certification issuance, cross-vertical rollout, release management, measurement, and field-facing comms. Co-designer on the assessment architecture and rubric methodology. Not the sole author of the program, but the person accountable for it running, and for what a seller experienced when they sat down to take it.
The internal artifacts, architecture diagrams, assessment rubrics, program decks, are covered by an AWS NDA and aren't mine to show. What is public is the credential trail the program left behind: badges issued through Credly, the independent credentialing vendor. The full taxonomy, tier structure, and per-vertical breakdown is visible there.

Impact
Over five years the program scaled from 8 to 18 industry verticals, reaching 17,000+ of AWS's 35,000 worldwide field sellers and partners across 30 countries. Per AWS Business Intelligence analysis, sellers who completed L100 and L200 accreditations showed a 1.7% higher win rate in the six months following completion. The program contributed to $650M+ in incremental revenue.

Beyond the core
In parallel I designed an AI-powered pitch evaluation system that eliminated 50+ hours/week of manual manager review across the field. I was a founding member of the Content Bar Raisers, the publishing authority across a library of 50,000+ enablement assets, and produced the flagship Amplify Your Sales Skills series through 100+ SME interviews — a program targeting enterprise sellers with single-workload customer relationships, teaching them to expand into multi-year cloud transformations by working from IT, to a single line of business, and eventually the C-suite.

Associate Course Director
Writing, game design & documentation, public speaking, team dynamics
Full Sail University Jan 2005, Aug 2015
Designed and delivered competency-based curriculum across writing, game design and documentation, public speaking, and team dynamics, managing cohorts of 10–80 students per term across a 10-year tenure.
Built courses from scratch: syllabi, learning objectives, rubrics, and assessments grounded in industry-relevant outcomes.
Applied instructional design principles that directly informed the enablement program architecture I later helped shape at AWS.
